So do you want to hear an Ogden City story? Last night right before we got home there was some cops a couple houses from ours, jared went and talked with the neighbors to find out what had happened, it turns out some guy slashed another guys throat in our front yard just minutes before we got home so there is a lovely trail of blood in my front yard, the guy ended up in my neighbors back yard, he didn't die and i haven't checked yet to see if it made the news but that is my lovely warm and fuzzy almost christmas story from the great ogden city.

you should see how bad our roads are by my house, I'm pretty sure that Ogden city has canyon road as their last road to plow. i could build a snowman with the snow in the road. Jared is off to Wangsgaurds and Makayla is down for her afternoon nap. So i am putting off getting really ready for the day by blogging. I don't think i have much going on today so I'm not sure why i should get ready other than to try out my new makeup that i picked up from my moms last night (the ELF stuff). I'll have to let you know how it is. I want to let you know that everyone has been really kind and very willing to help out and we really appreciate it. I want to let you know that things are okay and we are surviving, last night we came home to find an envelope on our back door with a gift card to Stop and Shop, it didn't have a name on it but were so appreciative just the same. Jared got a Gift check from his old job (i guess they sent it out before he was let go) so were gonna change that into a walmart gift card and that will help out with groceries too. I know that its not just chance that we are doing alright i know that my Heavenly Father is making sure that our needs are provided for, and i suppose i am grateful for this faith building "experience". Thanks again for your desire to help out and i promise I'll let you know if there is anything that you can help with :) Anyway have a Merry Christmas all!

Christmas Break

So far its looking like Jared and I are going to have a long Christmas break with each other, which continues to prove the point that if you have the money you don't have the time and if you have the time you don't have the money :) . He has had one Interview which went well but they are hiring for one position with 40 applicants, he also had a phone interview that went very well but they will talk to him in 2 weeks or so to schedule a face to face interview this position is in Draper though (kinda far but we'd take just about anything). Jared's been to the LDS Employment Center to see what we could find there, he came home with a pile of places to apply, that was yesterday and we haven't heard much yet from them but hopefully soon will. we've been super awesome to not purchase anything since we got the news, we've been only paying bills. So that's the update for anyone who is wondering, were certainly still open to anything you may hear of so please keep your ears open for us! Thanks!

man oh man

Thursdays are still lousy days, don't get me wrong it started out okay. Jared was layed off today and i'm incredibly concerned, deep down i know everything is gonna be alright but i still feel like i'm breathing water. We might be able to make it to the end of the month but its gonna drain us bad. I was really hoping that we would be able to make it thru this recession without having to find new jobs. The company that jared was working for pulled thier contract with market star and a bunch of people were layed off. His old job is letting people go at the moment so we cant really go back, he's gonna try to pick up more hours at wangsgaurds if that is a possibility for now he has Saturdays till the end of the month. I'm unsure if he can collect unemployment cuz he does have the second job although it doesn't even come close to making ends meet. I'm gonna see what i have to do to get Makayla insured through mcaid. I'm gonna call my one of my old bosses and see if they're hiring but the problem with that is i'd have to go through orientation again and i think they have it the first of every month so i wouldn't have a job till January. We have food storage and i'm gonna learn how to make it taste good. If you know or hear of any job openings please let us know, thanks zj

time to have fun

so there is a time and a season for everything and you know being 22 i think its okay for me to lighten up and have a little fun. now i'm not talking going streaking or robbing a bank i'm just talking hanging out with friends more and being my old fun self. i was reading one of my friends profiles on facebook and i remembered how funny he was in highschool and how much i miss just not taking things so serious. So perhaps i'll try it for a week and if its not for me i'll go back to being boring. wish me luck.

Sinter Klaus party

Last year my cute husband volunteered my dad to host and plan the next years sinter claus party for my dads side of the family. Sinter Klaus is the dutch version of Santa clause and my dads side of the family being dutch get together for a family party the first Saturday of December every year. Because my dad was in charge of it, Jared got to play the role of Sinter Klaus, my dad tried to tell me that i had to be black Pete (Sinter Klaus's helper who carries a sack to put bad children in, and then takes them to spain to work in the factories or something) i informed him that my brother coleton would be black Pete cuz i had to take care of Makayla and i didn't want to (been there done that). well the person who last packed the costume didn't include the beard or black shoe polish, me and my mom scrambled to find a beard and black makeup so they would look la git. for jareds beard we ended up using fake snow glued on with eyelash adhesive and i bought black eyeshadow to put all over my brothers face and neck. Needless to say we were laughing really hard in the men's restroom cuz the costumes were hilarious and all in all it was a good time. when it was makaylas turn to sit on Sinter Klaus's lap she was super upset and wanted nothing to do with it, so i guess we fooled someone.

last night was miserable to say the least, everything that i had consumed that was still in me came out and it sucked. Makayla was throwing up on Monday but she didn't ralf at all on Tuesday and she seems perfectly fine today. So its a short flu, but its powerful, it left me so weak at 4 in the morning that i could only walk a few steps then i would have to lay down or pass out. tonight i am almost back to normal i haven't thrown up all day and I've gotten most of my strength back. Jared at 4 am was also up throwing up and he is still trying to get his strength back for work tomorrow. Yuck! why do i write about this? so you will wash your hands and be aware that the flu is out but if your lucky it will only be a short flu to endure. Good luck dodging it guys!

blustery day

this is a picture of our shed upside down on the neighbors fence. this is what the wind did yesterday. everything is in its same place it was when it was under the shed. our dog got out and probably terrorized the kids walking to school, then she came back and i was like "how did you get out?" so with alot of luring and trickery i was able to get a hold of her and put her in her kennel. Jared was sure to "tell me so" he hated the shed from the beginning but i got an awesome deal on it and wanted a shed so all of our crap didn't have to be indoors or ruined outside, you know. he had told me that the first big wind storm we got would blow it away, well it wasn't the first one, but yesterday we had a real big one. don't worry the shed is okay just banged up, we screwed it to the plywood floor and put some heavy cement stuff in the corners so i'm thinking it will be grounded from here on out. we lifted up the fence last night and jimmy rigged it to stay up. It was leaning before it was knocked down and the wood is really soft and rotting but i still didn't want to pay for a new fence. So it turns out the only good thing about Thursdays is My name is Earl and The Office.

I'm creating a book from snapfish for free, i'm only gonna have to pay for shipping which is 7 dollars, its a 20 page book and since makayla loves books i'm making one of her "adventures". this deal is good until this saturday night at 12:59 am so all you have to do if your interested is registar on slickdeals which is free and check the home page for the free book. I'm excited cuz there are soo many choices so when i get it you will have to see how it turns out. Also i got some pictures from my mom that i promised to post but never did so here are some cute pictures taken before my bro left.

short skirts

I bought 5 short skirts to wear with my leggings today and i've found ways to make them work with all but one, the one is really wild, not sure what i was thinking. Oh ya and all of the skirts were a $1.00 each. I want to get some half boots (above) to wear with them and some knit boots for winter days to wear with them. i looked for a picture of the knit boots but couldn't find ones that i liked but i did find a way to make some that are actually cute.

Why so serious?

Holy cow its late, this is not my plan... So I've been organizing my life some-what and included in my daily schedule is going to bed earlier but time passed me by tonight, its 12:02 am currently. This was a part of a Sunday night decision, I often make resolutions on Sunday nights, I remember doing it in high school. I started working out again as of Monday and instead of just my regular run-bike-swim routine I've added weight lifting which I haven't done since conditioning class in high school. I am a giant nerd, I have a medium sized notebook that I bring with me to lift because I need the names of what I am doing and a general description on what it's supposed to be, I'm clueless. To help me out the night before I go onto google and type in a workout and watch videos on how its done the correct way. A lot of what I'm doing is an attempt to think more clearly I guess, heres the thing I have so much and am blessed with way more than I deserve I'm sure, but yet I act so weird around Jared,(he's a big reason why I have so much) its like split personalities, the problem isn't that I'm weird, the problem is that I am cold and mean whenever I am around him. I'm not that kind of person and I'm not that way with anyone else. I talked to him last night about it, I've come up with some reasons, some crazy thinking of mine, Its like I am afraid to show joy around him for fear that he would take it away. I'm not the same girl he dated and most of its my fault, I'm serious and reserved like if I smile I will lose it all. In the end I'm hoping that if I take care of myself I will relax and be the good wife that he deserves.

ELECTION!

Its the day of truth, if you will, its actually really dark outside and its only 5:55. You know I kinda have hope but I do think that its a long shot, I keep thinking silent majority. yesterday I was super annoyed and upset about the ad that is on you tube against prop 8, I totally feel like it was mainly against the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I don't have personal experience serving a mission but I imagine it is a hard thing to do, I hope that the missionaries in California don't have a harder time talking to people with this ad out now. The ads I've seen for prop 8 have been done in good taste and have explained their position without throwing dirt at any ones beliefs and values. I know they want the opportunity to choose to be married but families want the opportunity to have their children attend school without the worry about they are being taught. Its a control issue and I hope that people in California will do whats best for the family. Well Jareds home and i think that is all i wish to say about that, stay classy!

Halloween

Jared sold the PS3, they didn't want rock band so were selling it for $100 on ksl. Hopefully we can stay on top of our finances cuz were running out of stuff to sell! lol. Anyway Halloween was fun, We did the regular stuff and Makayla went trick or treating with Jared. They didn't stay out long cuz Jared said Makayla was too heavy to carry for much longer. Jareds work had a little pot luck for Jareds team and family but me and Makayla were the only family that came to it (it was slightly awkward). I went to my parents ward party and decided to dress up last minute, so i was a Guitar hero. Here are some pics from the Holiday, Enjoy!

selling the PS3

Jared is selling his PS3 on KSL currently and we are also selling our rock band set with the game and two other games (assassins creed, and metal gear solid 4). Were trying to get 450 for all of it, we've already gotten an offer of 300 for the PS3 by itself (haven't taken the offer yet though). If you know anyone who is looking to get a PS3 for Christmas or whatever, Jared bought the PS3 in July for 400 dollars and we bought the rock band set for like $165, the game for it was twenty five and the assassins creed he paid 25 for also. So Its a good deal if you plan on getting a PS3. I know he is really sad to sell it but we got gypt out of Jared's last paycheck at fatpipe, so we were kinda depending on that money. (you know how it goes). Anyway keep your ears open for me k thanks!

what do i call this?

today i bought some yarn and a crochet needle and I've been making scarves, mainly because Makayla likes to take the laundry I've folded and wrap it around her neck and put it over her head like she is playing dress up. (its super entertaining especially when she trys to walk around without being able to see)(oh ya she walks now!). I know, i know, I really sound like an old lady, but crocheting is relaxing and lets me get lost in my thoughts. Today i also ran into my old boss from the salon, she says the salon is really slow and people are bringing their kids in for a zero buzz all over so they don't have to come in for hair cuts as often. I guess that over time has been cut for lots of people and times are just getting hard. She also updated me on everything that has occurred since i left and i didn't even need to ask. It hasn't been quite a year yet since i quit but you know i have an "inner peace" with not having a boss, i think i could be categorized in to the crazy boss pleasing category, and you know that is a tiring and thankless job; let alone a lot to live up to. look at my ramblings... Jared and i got into a super awesome fight yesterday, it turns out he bought two books he didn't want or need or read for that matter for 91 dollars. then he tried to tell me that all i care about is money. Needless to say yesterday sucked. the worst money mistake I've made was buying some pans off of an infomercial and getting tricked into buying extra pans i didn't need making what i expected to be around 34 dollars actually 89 dollars, but i do sometimes use the pans. So if anything this blog should make you want to hug your husband a little tighter because he hasn't bought 2 books for 91 dollars. RANDOM i know. Bella Inspired

I saw this picture last night after i got done reading midnight sun, and i think bella looks so classic and beautiful in the picture that i thought i should totally have her hair. So this is my "bella inspired" look for fall, the makeup is alittle intense but i may keep it up we'll see. I know that my hair doesn't look too much darker but i did darken it i'll show you a "before pic" too.
