Selling the Alero

Today we finaly have our Oldsmobile Alero for sale, we just got the power steering pump fixed and we replaced 3 of the tires, so it was an expensive day. But now i have it up for sale on KSL and if you or someone you know needs a car or is looking, were selling it for 4700 which is what we owe still on the loan. We currently have 3 cars and just dont have a need for an extra payment. It runs great and gets about 26 mpg road, i'm not sure about highway.

Physical Test: PASSED

So I'm really excited and have to kinda brag about my husband :). Yesterday there were 218 people who took the written test and today Jared found out that only 78 people passed the written test. I'm so proud of him for just that but today he took his physical test and met all of the requirements and passed that also! He has been training for quite some time and here is how he did.
Required amount; Jareds results
Vertical jump 16 inches; 22 1/2 inches
Bench 121 (75% of his weight); 135 lbs
1.5 mile run 15:54 ; 13:15 minutes
Push ups 25; 27
sit ups 35 in a minute; 35

He now has a scheduled behavioral assessment test and an Oral Interview.
I'll keep you posted still!

written test: PASSED!

Jared tested today for the police written test and he passed! They were told that there were 218 applicants for the job, i'm unsure how many were accepted and were testing today but Jared said that the ballroom that they were testing in was full. Tomorrow is his physical test at 12:30, he has been training for a long time for the physical test and hopefully will be able to pass all of the requirements without any issues. We have heard that Ogden City is looking to hire 10 to 16 police officers so although its much better odds than one its still pretty crazy odds. i'll keep you updated!

Wanted: Prayers and Good thoughts.. :)

Jareds testing for the Ogden City Police job starts tomorrow, so its a pretty big day for us.. The hyla job didn't turn out to be all that it was promised to be. He was supposed to be given appointments by the marketing department each day but never heard a word from them all week, and since his paycheck was contingent on him doing 12 presentations a week you can kinda see why it didn't work. So it seems we are always at square one lately but I'm positive that good news is due to arrive, and just as always we seem to be taken care of by daily miracles that in no way could ever be just a coincidence. I'll let you know how the testing goes, it will be much sooner for better news :)

New Calling

Today Jared and I had a meeting with the bishop after church and we were thinking it was either they would ask us to give a talk in sacrament meeting or that Jared's calling would be changed. Well it turned out that I got a calling change, I've been in an Activity Days leader for about a year and a half, so now my new calling is a Beehive Advisor. I'm excited for a new call, but its gonna be a lot more work than Activity Days has been. I really loved young women's when i was in it and i really liked all of my leaders also so I have a pretty positive feel for the calling. I'll be teaching around 3 lessons a month, which i think is a ton but i really do learn more when I have to study the lesson out and figure out how to teach it. I also get to go to girls camp and youth conference both of which i loved too, youth conference mainly because i loved the boys in the ward and stake that i got to hang around :). I like being constructively busy most of the time and i think this will help me feel like I'm doing something constructive. Hopefully I'll feel this positive when i start working with the girls.

Your gonna love this post..

So recently my husband got a job working for Hydra Air and is going to be a salesman for an air filter called a Hyla... This Friday thru Tuesday he has to practice his sales pitch and needs volunteers to listen and ask questions. If he is able to present it 7 times over the 4 days (not Sunday) he will get $200, he doesn't have to sell it just practice selling. If any of you are willing to listen to his pitch, you'll not only help him out but you'll get a free gift. He will know tomorrow what that free gift is and i'll post it on here, he was saying that sometimes its a set of knives or different things like that. The presentation is about an hour and a half and he said that the husband and wife has to be there to listen. He has set appointment times the first will be on Friday at 5:00 then 8:00 the rest of the days he can book them at 11, 2, 5, 8. I know its hard to have both the husband and wife there at the same time and the last thing you want to do is listen to Jared :) but if you have some time and don't mind he'd like some help. And seriously you dont have to buy it so dont think you'll be pressured to. Leave me a note if your interested or just give me a call if you want more info.

Jareds new job

so i typed half of a post and then i realized i was in Jareds pointless blog. Its pointless because he hasn't put one post up so its basically an empty page. I don't have any Easter pictures yet but hopefully will be getting some up soon. My mom bought makayla a super cute dress for Easter so i'm excited to show you sometime. I'm currently waiting for a hair cut to show up, i have no idea when she'll be here which is frustrating, i'd really like to take a nap and now i realize i really could have. Makayla is sleeping and with my luck the appointment will come when makayla wakes up so I'll have to wrestle a child and cut hair. Jared started a training for a new job yesterday, he will be selling an air filter thing and after 3 months he'll be able to have medical benefits with this company. So we'll see how it all goes. He still wants pretty badly to be a cop but we haven't heard back from Ogden City so were thinking we wont. I'd like him to get as much of his schooling out of the way while he is working this job. It should be easier for him to do because he'll have the schedule of 1 to 9 Monday thru Friday. Awesome Makayla is awake, and the appointment is still not here. I feel a lot better as far as finances go so that is a really good thing, I've been worried about money since December and its nice to relax a little. I'm still training consistently for the ragnar, i have 10 weeks left before the race, its gonna be crazy. That is my little update and i'll get pictures posted when i can!

Preping for the Ragnar

So the past few days i've been getting a training plan ready for me to do the Ragnar Wasatch Back relay. For those of you who've never heard of Ragnar its a Relay with 13 team members that run for 2 days straight very long distances. This race is from Logan to Park City and each member has 3 different runs in the race. I'm either runner number 9 or 10 both courses are gonna be tuff and are very similar except runner 9 has less miles so i'm pretty sure i'm gonna be stuck with the number 10 course. My first run will be 3.5 miles on a flat easy surface, the next run will be 6.4 miles on a "moderate" incline (still not too scary for me). The last although is 4 miles uphill on a gravel road and after doing 2 runs and getting very little sleep its gonna be a *itch. I wish i could figure out around what time of day i will be running the last leg, i really hope its either way early morning or at night cuz i cant imagine being in the heat running it.

Then new trick i have to learn is listening to my body and i've never really done that, i'm pretty good at tuning it out but during my training I've gotta start incorporating that.

I'll post the pictures of my relay segments and although this is probably not very interesting to anyone else its the only thing i have to talk about :)
