ZJ's 2009 Garden Project

Yesterday I built the base for my above ground garden. I'm not a very experienced gardener but i try and some day i will be a gardening genius. Until then i make it up as i go. Because money is scarce i used telephone poles that are already in my backyard to build the base where all the dirt will go in. If i had money i would certainly use railroad ties to build it cuz making squares stay on top of each other is way easier than making circles stay on top of each other. base pearl wanted to be in the picture

So much snow

My car that has been parked for a couple weeks now is almost its own little igloo, it probably wont be able to get out until spring. Yesterday we went over to Jared's parents and got some cabinet scraps, that has been dropped off throughout the years by his brother, for our pantry which is an eternal work in progress. I built shelves last night and I'm hoping that I'll be able to build the rest today then i can start cleaning and caulking and painting the shelves, So hopefully the end result will be a desirable organized pantry. I took a before picture just for you so you'll be able to see my lovely project. Well I'll post the pictures later when i have an after also.

Villain

I'm ready for spring, but I'm kinda excited about valentines day i need to come up with something fun and unexpected for my husband, i know we aren't planning on giving gifts but I'm sure i can come up with something heartfelt that doesn't have a price. If you have any awesome ideas feel free to leave suggestions. I went with my high school buddies for a little girls night and had lots of fun getting out of the house we went and saw Australia at the new 3 dollar theater. They thought that the villain looked like my husband which was funny so i will post a picture

only my hubby cant grow a beard or mustache as fine as the scruff that this dudes sporting and Jared doesn't have awesome red hair but perhaps he kinda looks similar.

Still Waiting

I've not posted for awhile just cuz everything changes every day, it seems and I really don't have much happy news and the bad news i feel is just getting old for people to hear. Maybe I'm just a fair weather friend to myself and after awhile I'm just like buck up nobody wants to hear your new sob story.

So for lighter news and really irrelevant facts today I did my own nails and they turned out really nice, it makes me feel less poor I suppose. I swam at the gym and had my face in the water most of the time, turns out that if I wear a swim cap it is so much easier to breath cuz my hair doesn't get in my face even though I look like a bald old man in a tankini when I wear it. I've been reading a book called "From Sea to Shining Sea" it is about the Clark family and the Lewis and Clark expidition, its by Alexander Thom he is an excellent auther and this is the third book of his that i've read. The book makes my everyday worries and troubles seem pretty lame in comparison to what life was like in a pre and after revolution America.

Makayla copies a lot of the words we say and will have a new buddy next Monday when I start watching a lady's baby from my ward, she is going back to work. I'm gonna be the queen of odd jobs but at least I'll be able to be home with Makayla and I cant put a price on that.

We've been so blessed to be able to make it this far with such little income I know that my Heavenly Father is taking care of us and we couldn't have made do without his help. I know what holds the highest value for me and you can't find it in stores. Things will work out and were building character and exercising our creativity until the storm subsides.
